I don’t have TikTok, gave up Instagram 3 years ago maybe, and only go onto Facebook to check Sonya’s preschool pictures. It’s so freeing. You go girl.

Omg this is perfect timing as I’ve been slowly fading away from instagram for months and i have a Substack post about it in the works to release this weekend!

I relate to all of this so much! And additionally a big motivation for me to quit was the example i want to be to my daughter, who I’m sure will have her own run in with social media when she’s older.

I love that you’ve been doing the slow fade—I can’t wait to read more about it. And yes! High five to setting a better example for your child! A win-win for sure.

Love this so much- I need to download that app that makes it harder to just mindlessly click to Instagram. Sometimes I say ALOUD to myself "why am I doing this??" as I scroll. Hideous waste of time but yes, as you mentioned, sometimes feels necessary evil???

Additionally are those bowls from Anthro or somewhere else? I have two from Anthro and I love them (I found them shopping IN STORE- something else I really try to do vs online endless clicking and convincing myself I need more THINGS).

Yes! They are from Anthro. I can give you a link if you want, but won’t if it would add to your “more things” list!! They are great bowls. Simple. Elegant. Surprisingly sturdy, though I do need to get some toddler friendly bowls soon…
